On the eve of the derby at Poljud, the club prepared a special tribute dedicated to the memory of Bernard "Bajdo" Vukas, one of the most deserving players in Hajduk's history. Archival footage and photographs from his playing career were shown on the stadium's big screen.
Vukas played hundreds of matches for Hajduk and won multiple Yugoslav league titles, leaving an indelible mark on the club's history. The fans welcomed the gesture with great approval, and many of the older visitors to the stadium recalled personal memories of the legendary player.
This gesture once again confirmed how present Bajdo Vukas still is in the hearts of the fans, decades after the end of his playing career.
